Sway Bars
At Speedway Engineering, we offer a diverse selection of bar styles, including our specialty speedway engineering sway bars. Most of our bars are made to order, ensuring that unique or uncommon applications are always within reach. Our knowledgeable staff is ready to assist you in designing a custom kit tailored to your exact needs, whether you require a standard or a splined sway bar.
Arms
Just like our Speedway Engineering sway bars, we maintain a wide variety of options in stock — but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Since we manufacture everything in-house, custom arms are only a phone call away. This flexibility is especially vital for clearing obstacles like tie rods or other suspension components, ensuring compatibility with our splined sway bars.

Determine Sway Bar Width
Just like our Speedway Engineering sway bars, we maintain a wide variety of options in stock — but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Since we manufacture everything in-house, custom arms are only a phone call away. This flexibility is especially vital for clearing obstacles like tie rods or other suspension components, ensuring compatibility with our splined sway bars.
Determine arm material and drop
When there aren't obstacles, straight aluminum arms from Speedway Engineering perform well. However, when you encounter obstacles, we offer a range of arms suitable for most applications. Our steel arms include straight options as well as 15 degree and 30 degree drop configurations, ideal for use with Speedway Engineering sway bars. The straight arms fit most scenarios, while the drop arms are specifically designed to clear tie rods and other suspension components that may obstruct movement. Our arms are intentionally made longer for easy mounting and can be shortened to a practical length afterward.
Determine arm offset
In most applications, adding a bend (offset) in the arm is necessary to ensure that the sway bar reaches the correct mounting location on the suspension members. Our steel arms, which are compatible with speedway engineering specifications, can be bent using most industrial-sized press brakes that fabrication shops commonly have, or you can simply predetermine the specifications and order them pre-bent. If the wrong offset arm is ordered, it can always be exchanged as long as it remains undamaged.

This picture features a 613-3B, which is our standard bent arm with a 3-inch offset. It is particularly effective in various stock car applications, such as NASCAR Stocks, Late Models, and iconic hot rods like Chevelles, Novas, and Camaros, all of which can benefit from the precision of our splined sway bars.
Determine sway bar links
In most applications, ½ heim joints are optimal for speedway engineering setups. Existing mounts on the suspension members can be utilized, or new mounts may be fabricated and installed as needed. Our ½ rod selection starts with male and female rods screwed together, providing the shortest possible option. For longer links, we offer aluminum hex sleeves up to 8” long, ideal for speedway engineering sway bars. We recommend using the longest link feasible to minimize erratic angle changes through travel, especially when integrating splined sway bars for enhanced performance.
Determine rate and diameter
Diameters and rates are typically determined based on the specific application since each one has unique factors. For assistance with your new Speedway Engineering splined sway bar or any of the Speedway Engineering sway bars, please give us a call!
